Sewing, Quilting & Craftee Volunteers Needed
Our "Creative Acts of Kindness" Program is in need of volunteers to assist senior residents of Eliza Bryant Village with their "Friendship Quilting Project." The goal of this project is to unite inter-generational community members to create several artistic quilts to be displayed at various local sites and festivals this summer. Volunteers are needed from April 1, 2013 - July 1, 2013, Monday - Friday 10am - 2pm. Please register below and someone will contact you quickly to complete your registration.

Event Planning Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers that are interested in planning and facilitating two (2) fundraising and two (2) community services/awareness events in 2013. The fundraising events will support the financial needs of our hunger relief, housing assistance and youth athletic programs. The community services/awareness events will be to support the needs of health and wellness for under-served populations. This is a perfect opportunity to gain free publicity for your event planning company and show the public what great abilities you have. Of course, we are working with limited budgets for these events, so we're looking for someone that understands how to present the benefits of supporting a non-profit organization's efforts. We will be instrumental in assisting with providing various contacts, non-profit marketing approaches and more. Board Secretary Volunteer
Our Advisory Board is in need of someone who has secretarial/administrative expertise to help us maintain minutes of meeting, develop forms and searchable databases in MS Excel. Additionally, this person will have the ability to follow-up on telephone calls and emails, gather information from various contacts and update databases, and create merge documents. This role requires intermediate to expert knowledge of MS Office. The time commitment for this role is approximately 10 hours per month. Phone Bank/Email Volunteers
Join us to make telephone calls and send emails to donors, volunteers and collaborative community partners for upcoming events. Must have a clear speaking voice and proper utilization of the English language. It is helpful if you have a laptop to use, but we can still use your assistance even if you do not. This project will take place in May 2013, so please register below if you're interested. We will provide a centralized location for this project at a later date.
Community Liaison Volunteers
We are looking for a few good people that can commit to one (1) year in this role. The Community Liaison Volunteers will be responsible for cultivating relationships with other community organizations to develop collaboration partners for our programming. This role requires the ability to recognize missing program needs that create an opportunity to collaborate with other organizations that can support these areas. If you are a person that loves to bring people together that compliment one another, this is the role for you. This role will function with non-stressful deadline requirements and will require approximately 7-10 hours per month. Grant Writer Assistant Volunteer
The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching grant programs, writing basic funding applications (non-federal grants) and participating in some of the activities/functions of the funded programming. The person selected in this role must be able to work from home with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and have a basic understanding of nonprofit business, as well as have a recent model computer with wireless internet connectivity. This role will follow the organization’s direction based on our programming needs, including, but not limited to editing draft applications and submitting them in accordance with grant requirements, providing monthly reports, and assisting in resolving any issues with funding agencies, as well as coordinating many activities associated with the funded programs and operational needs. Fundraising Specialists
This person will promote the objectives and causes of the organization and arrange for sufficient finances to execute program activities without hindrance, while communicating with external associates to receive support in form of cash and specified in-kind donations. This role will also conduct fundraising events and contact eminent individuals to promote our cause or advertise the services/products of the chief sponsors as needed. Also, maintain and submit monthly financial reports on collected finances and the expenses made to allow the organization to provide the proper receipts are issued to all donors.
Assistant Youth Football Coaches & Team Helpers
We're looking for Assistant Youth Football Coaches for the 2013-2014 season. This role requires knowledge of football rules, proper techniques for each position and assignment, mental and physical player development, implement strength and conditioning program, player recruitment, implement a winning attitude within all players and assist head coaches as needed.

Youth Program Organizers
We want to empower youth to organize their own community service projects. We provide youth the training and assistance to develop programming that's important to them and their communities. Additionally, we want students to receive credit from their educational institutions, so we're willing to develop those relationships so our student organizers benefit two-fold.
